MindWalks® Workshop Coming To Canyon Ranch

CAMBRIDGE, MA, March 2002 - MindWalks: 100 Easy Ways to Relieve Stress, Stay Motivated, and Nourish Your Soul is now in its fifth printing.

CAMBRIDGE, MA - Independent Publisher Magazine has named MindWalks With Music the best direct-to-audiotape submission in its Independent Publisher of the Year awards.

The award was the second honor within a month for MindWalks creator Mary H. Frakes, author of MindWalks: 100 Easy Ways to Relieve Stress, Stay Motivated, and Nourish Your Soul. In its April competition for independent publishers, Writer's Digest named MindWalks the Best Inspirational Book of 1999.

MindWalks is being used in corporate and institutional wellness programs nationwide, including those of BP Amoco, Raytheon, the University of Michigan, and Health Enhancement Systems. By providing easy mental exercises and meditations that can be done in the course of a walk, both book and tape help readers double the benefit of getting exercise, making it productive for body and brain.

National Bookstore Chains Select MindWalks for Distribution Program

CAMBRIDGE, MA, Feb. 6, 1999 - Buyers for the largest bookstore chains. wholesalers, and leading independent bookstores in the U.S. have selected MindWalks: 100 Easy Ways to Relieve Stress, Stay Motivated, and Nourish Your Soul for inclusion in the Publishers' Marketing Association's prestigious Small Press Distribution Program.

A committee that included representatives from Barnes & Noble, Walden, Borders, Ingram, and Baker & Taylor as well as buyers from several independent bookstores selected MindWalks for the program because they felt it represented the ability of independent presses today to publish books that are as commercially viable and of comparable quality to those of publishers with far more resources. MindWalks was one of 30 books chosen from approximately 150 books submitted for consideration for the fall program.

The selection means that MindWalks will be distributed to the book trade by Independent Publishers Group, a respected national distributor. MindWalks will be in bookstores June 21 and can also be ordered directly from the publisher, Life Lessons of Cambridge, Mass.
